An armed attack was carried out against a Russian artist known for his criticism of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Poland. Russian artist Robert Kuzovkov, also known as Semyon Skrepetsky, was killed in an armed attack in the town of Biala Podlaska.
FIVE SHOTS FIRED
Lublin Regional Prosecutor's Office Spokesperson Marcin Kozak stated in a press conference that five shots were fired at Kuzovkov, one of which hit his head. Kozak reported that two Belarusian suspects have been detained in connection with the incident, but no charges have been filed against them yet. Kozak confirmed that Kuzovkov was engaged in artistic activities criticizing the current actions of Russian authorities.
On Russia Day, celebrated on June 12, Kuzovkov traveled to Berlin, the capital of Germany, and staged a protest using iconic caricatures of Joseph Stalin and Putin.
