The spokesperson of the DEM Party, Ayşegül Doğan, announced that an application has been made to the Ministry of Justice for the third Imralı meeting. Doğan stated that Ahmet Türk will also be part of the delegation and that they expect the meeting with the terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan to take place before the end of this week.
DEM Party Spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan made evaluations regarding the İmralı process at a press conference held at the party's headquarters.
Providing information on when the third İmralı meeting will take place, Doğan stated, "The DEM Party İmralı delegation is preparing for their visit to the island. The application has been made as of today, and we expect them to go to İmralı Island to meet with Mr. Öcalan as soon as possible, before the end of this week."
Doğan also expressed hope that Abdullah Öcalan's call would be in video format.

Doğan announced that Ahmet Türk would also be part of the delegation.
THE PROCESS STARTED WITH BAHÇELİ'S CALL
With the call of MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, the DEM Party had a meeting with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan at İmralı Prison on December 28, 2024. The party stated that the meeting took place in a sincere atmosphere and that the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) is the most suitable ground for resolving the issue within the framework of democratic politics.
Following this meeting, contacts that began with TBMM President Numan Kurtulmuş on January 3 were continued with the leaders and representatives of MHP, Future Party, AK Party, Felicity Party, CHP, DEVA Party, and New Welfare Party.
After these meetings, the DEM Party delegation met with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan at İmralı on December 28, 2024. The delegation expressed that the meetings were promising.
The second meeting between the İmralı Delegation and PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan took place on January 22.
