Galatasaray's head coach Okan Buruk reacted to the lengthy press conference of Fenerbahçe's coach Jose Mourinho following the 0-0 draw in the derby. Buruk stated, "Mourinho's crying lasted a bit too long! The Crying One... He is famous for his crying. He even went into the referee's room and cried."

Galatasaray's head coach Okan Buruk made striking statements about Fenerbahçe's head coach Jose Mourinho after the 0-0 draw in the Fenerbahçe derby held at RAMS Park.

"LET HIM KEEP CRYING"

Pointing out that Mourinho's press conference lasted a bit too long, Buruk said, "Mourinho's crying lasted a bit long! The Crying One... He is famous for his crying. He even went into the referee's room and cried! Let him keep crying!"

"LET THEM APPLY"

In response to the question, "Mourinho said, 'If Galatasaray is a champion and a big team, they should request a foreign referee for every match,'" Okan Buruk stated, "They are the ones making the decisions, you know. We cannot decide on that matter; they make the decisions. Let them make the necessary applications."

"I'VE NEVER SEEN A WORSE REFEREE"

Evaluating the performance of referee Vincic, Buruk said, "I don't remember a derby referee performing this poorly. A referee who stopped the entire match, giving ridiculous fouls... All against us! The decisions he made, the cards he showed, the fouls he didn't call... We were penalized in many ways. It was evident how much pressure he was under before the match. A referee with so much experience, who has managed finals, trembling... He brought the whistle to his mouth three times when there was no situation. He was waiting so much... He didn't listen to the fourth referee because he was Turkish. There were two instances where Mert Müldür bounced the ball on the ground like a basketball player. The fourth referee said 'hand.' He didn't listen to the fourth referee because he was Turkish, saying 'you don't interfere.' This will please Fenerbahçe and their coach. Because he used all the foul rights in their favor. He stopped the game too much. The quality of football was not high. He stopped the game twice as much as Turkish referees. His performance was far below his own standards. This was his first time managing a derby in Turkey. There was pressure from that. I might be biased, I might look at it differently, but he stopped the game so much that we might be depriving Turkish referees of their rights. There are worse ones in slowing down the game," he said.
