Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor has unveiled the interior of its new A05S model, which it plans to launch with a starting price of around $7,000 (330,000 Turkish Lira). Equipped with features such as a LiDAR sensor, city autonomous driving support, and memory-based automatic parking, the model will offer a range of 405 to 510 kilometers with two different engine options.
Chinese manufacturer Leapmotor, which continues to grow in the electric car market, has shared the interior design of its new compact hatchback model A05S for the first time. The brand, which stands out with its expansion target particularly in the European market, aims to attract attention with its affordable new model.
Expected to go on sale in China with a starting price of around $7,000 (330,000 TL), the Leapmotor A05S, despite being in the economy class, aims to offer users many technologies found in higher segments.
COMING WITH LIDAR TECHNOLOGY
One of the model's most striking features is the LiDAR sensor integrated into the roof. Thanks to this technology, typically used in premium electric cars, the vehicle is planned to include advanced driving assistance systems.
The Leapmotor A05S will offer smart driving features such as Urban NAP (Urban Autonomous Navigation Pilot), highway driving assistant, and memory-based automatic parking.
TWO DIFFERENT MOTOR AND BATTERY OPTIONS
The Leapmotor A05S will use LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries developed in collaboration with Gotion High-tech and Zenergy.
The entry-level version will feature a 70 kW (94 hp) electric motor and a 39.8 kWh battery. This version is announced to offer approximately 405 kilometers of range according to CLTC measurements.
The more powerful option will include a 90 kW (121 hp) electric motor and a 53 kWh battery. According to the same measurement standard, this model promises a driving range of up to 510 kilometers.
