An investigation has been launched into accounts spreading disinformation targeting Bahçeli.

The claim that the leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Devlet Bahçeli, has passed away has caused a public outcry. In a statement made by the MHP, they denied the news reported in the media and stated that efforts related to disinformation conducted through social media have been identified and shared with the Ministry of Interior, and an investigation has been initiated by the security forces.

The claim that MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli has passed away created a agenda, but after the news was quickly denied, an interesting statement came from MHP.

MHP Deputy Chairman İsmail Özdemir made the statement on his social media account. İsmail Özdemir stated that efforts related to disinformation targeting Devlet Bahçeli on social media have been detected and necessary information has been shared with the Ministry of Interior.

POLICE INITIATED AN INVESTIGATION

Özdemir announced that the police have initiated relevant investigations without wasting time regarding the social media accounts that produce and spread disinformation.
