Anadolu Agency's Morning Briefing – Jan. 26, 2022

Anadolu Agency is here with a rundown of the latest developments on the coronavirus pandemic and other news in Turkiye and around the world.
Coronavirus and other developments in Turkiye
Turkiye reported more than 76,300 coronavirus cases Tuesday, according to the Health Ministry.
The ministry registered 76,341 new infections, 174 deaths and 82,203 recoveries over the past day. Also, 418,427 virus tests were done in the last 24 hours.
To stem the spread of the virus, the country has also administered more than 141 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines since it launched an immunization drive in January 2021.
More than 57.36 million people have received their first jab, while over 52.29 million have received their second shot, the latest ministry data showed. Turkiye has also given third booster shots to 24.48 million people.

People should not be anxious because the situation in eastern Ukraine is "under control," Ukraine's president said Tuesday.
