A suspect, for whom a detention warrant was issued on allegations of indecent behavior in a mosque in Kocaeli, has been apprehended. Within the scope of the investigation, two suspects referred to the courthouse have also been arrested.
Another suspect has been arrested in the investigation into the incident that occurred at Yeni Cuma Mosque in Kocaeli.
In the scope of the investigation conducted by the Kocaeli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, action was taken after it was determined that inappropriate behavior took place at the entrance of the women's section of Yeni Cuma Mosque in the early hours of June 7.
CAUGHT IN AN OPERATION
Within the investigation, Z.Ş.Ü., for whom a detention order was issued on charges of "insulting religious values adopted by a segment of the public" and "damaging places of worship," was caught in an operation carried out by security forces.
The detained suspect was referred to the courthouse after the completion of police procedures.
COURT ISSUED AN ARREST WARRANT
Z.Ş.Ü., brought before judicial authorities, was arrested and sent to prison. Meanwhile, T.Y., who had been previously detained in the scope of the investigation, had also been arrested by the judge.
It has been learned that the investigation carried out by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues.
