Mustafa Çekici, who has lived here for about 30 years, stated that the house does not shake when vehicles pass, while Züleyha Temiz expressed that they are under the sidewalk, not the road.
A structure that surprised those who saw it in Şile drew attention. As Plajyolu Street passes over the 8-apartment building in Çavuş District, the residents here stated that they have not been bothered by the situation that has been going on for years.
ROAD PASSES OVER THE 8-APARTMENT BUILDING
The 2-story building located in Şile's Çavuş District draws attention with its unusual location. It was stated that the structure consisting of 8 apartments was included in Plajyolu Street for approximately 50 meters. The evaluations of the building residents on the subject, however, are different. While some people say that a road passes over the building, some residents state that the structure is under the sidewalk, not the road. The building, which has been in use for years, was also filmed from the air.
"IT'S BEEN 30 YEARS, I BOUGHT IT KNOWINGLY"
Mustafa Çekici, who stated that he has lived in the building for 30 years, said that vehicles passing over the structure does not bother him. Çekici said, "Years pass over it, unfortunately it's like that, but even if a truck passes here, the house doesn't shake. Not the slightest sound comes downstairs. It's a solid building, I mean. It's been like this for 52 years. You wouldn't hear a car pass. It was sold over time, and we bought it. It's been 30 years, I bought it knowingly. I'm satisfied. We have our title deed. I've been living here for 30 years. There's no situation to complain about anyway. That's why we are satisfied. Compared to our money, if the next building is 10 lira, this is 1 lira. Will it collapse over time? It will collapse. But right now there is nothing. Hopefully it won't happen," he said.
"WE ARE UNDER THE SIDEWALK"
Züleyha Temiz, who has been living in the building since 2005, disagreed with the assessment that a road passes over the structure. Temiz explained that after the building was constructed, the road was created for access to the coast. Temiz said, "I've been living here since 2005. I have no problems, we bought it. My husband repaired it, fixed it. We knew it since 2003, but our building, before it was built, there was no road there. The building was built and then the road was built. There was no road to the coast. Because there was no road to the coast, they gave it."
"THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS UNDER THE ROAD HERE"
Temiz, arguing that the section over which vehicles pass is a sidewalk, used the following statements:
"Here there are 8 apartments, our opposite building has 56 apartments. You hear it too, cars come and go, we are on the sidewalk. We are under the sidewalk. There is no such thing as under the road here. We only have a 4-meter sidewalk right. The state also uses our sidewalk right. It is used publicly. Because we agree, and they agree. I have my title deed, I have everything. So I have no problems, now let a car pass, hear it. Listen. Do you hear it? My house has a suspended ceiling. And there is nothing at all."
