The Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, announced that applications for birth assistance, implemented during the Family Year, have started to be accepted through the e-Government portal as of today.
The Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, made a statement regarding the birth assistance applications initiated with the declaration of 2025 as the "Year of Family" by the President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Reminding that the regulation containing birth assistance to be provided to families starting from the first child passed in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey on March 27, Göktaş said, "We will start receiving applications for birth assistance, which our President announced as a good news in our Family Year Promotion Program, through the e-Government portal as of today. Applications will primarily be received through the e-Government portal, but our citizens who cannot apply through e-Government can receive support for applications from our Provincial Directorates of Family and Social Services." she stated.
BIRTH ASSISTANCE WILL REACH 5 THOUSAND LIRA MONTHLY
Emphasizing that birth assistance will be provided without any criteria, Göktaş noted: "Our families who have children as of January 1, 2025, will benefit from this assistance. Accordingly, for the first child born as of January 1, 2025, we will provide a one-time birth assistance of 5 thousand lira, for the second child, 1500 lira each month, and for the third and subsequent children, 5 thousand lira each month will be deposited into the accounts of our mothers. This support will continue until our children turn 5 years old.
