A new fraud method has emerged in the stock market. This scam, carried out under the name 'Çiftlikbank', is causing significant losses for investors. Authorities have warned citizens about this issue and urged them to be cautious.
The President of the Consumer Confederation (TÜKONFED), Aydın Ağaoğlu, stated that in recent days, there has been an increase in fraudulent activities similar to "çiftlikbank" in the stock market, promising high profitability, and said, "Free cheese is found in a mouse trap. No one gives anyone a 500% or 800% profit out of nowhere."
Ağaoğlu, in his statement, mentioned that the frauds of "çiftlikbank," "chain of happiness," and "titan chain" are still fresh in the memory of many people.
FIRST, THEY ESTABLISH TRUST
Pointing out that these systems, which are established with the logic of "invest money, earn high," have recently ensnared many people in the stock markets, Ağaoğlu said: "They gather members through messaging programs like WhatsApp or Telegram. They promise profits of 500% and 800% in the short term, at most within 6 months. You enter the system, and they ask you to send money to a brokerage firm they have created. Of course, many people approach it with suspicion, but they invest amounts like 20,000, 30,000, or 50,000 lira. Then, a few days later, when they see that their 50,000 lira has turned into 80-90,000 lira, they start sending more money to the system."
CUSTOMER SERVICE DISAPPEARS
Ağaoğlu emphasized that when they want to withdraw money from the application that is presented as a brokerage firm, they are directed to customer service, stating, "The phone fraud begins in the customer service section, and the caller persuades them to transfer a little more money. There are those who start with 50,000 lira and send 1 million lira, and they called us. Their money in the system has become 2 million 700 thousand lira in 2 months, but they still cannot withdraw it; they are still asking for money. 2 million 700 thousand lira appears to be blocked, supposedly accumulated or earned, but this is where the deception is most significant," he said.
"STATE GUARANTEE SHOULD BE SOUGHT"
Warning against fraudulent activities similar to "çiftlikbank" in the stock market that promise such high profitability, Ağaoğlu continued: "Free cheese is found in a mouse trap. No one gives anyone a 500% or 800% profit out of nowhere. Money should definitely not be sent to places that promise easy money. Think about it, if there were easy profits, would it come to you? The wolves and jackals would grab it first. If you invent something, they will take it from you. A state guarantee should be sought when investing money. Many transactions in the stock market are done with the permissions of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency and the Capital Markets Board. It is not right to send money anywhere based on suggestions and promises without knowing whether it is legal or not."
Ağaoğlu likened these types of systems to a "bottomless pit," saying, "You expect it to come back as you throw in, but it doesn't. What's gone is gone. Everyone is chasing easy money. Don't let your hard-earned money be taken by fraudsters with the greed to earn more. Investments in stocks or coins should be made knowingly; you can suffer serious losses from work done based on promises." he said.
