Arda Güler, who scored in the match where the Turkish National Football Team defeated the USA 3-2, became the first Turkish footballer to score in the World Cup in 24 years and also claimed the title of the youngest scorer in the tournament's history for the crescent-star team.

The Turkish National Football Team faced the host USA in the third and final match of Group D of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Arda Güler, who started in the first eleven at Los Angeles Stadium, scored a historic goal in the 10th minute.

At 21 years and 120 days old, Arda Güler earned the title of the youngest player to score a goal in the World Cup in Turkish National Team history. The young star surpassed Emre Belözoğlu, who had scored against Costa Rica at 21 years and 275 days old in the 2002 World Cup.
