Armed attack on team bus in Ghana: footballer Dominic Frimpong loses his life

Ghana football has been shaken by a tragic incident. Dominic Frimpong, a 20-year-old player for Berekum Chelsea, lost his life as a result of an armed attack on the team bus. Following the incident, images of the attacked bus have also emerged.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced that footballer Dominic Frimpong (20) lost his life in an armed attack on the Berekum Chelsea team convoy.

Berekum Chelsea, a team competing in the Ghana Premier League, was attacked by armed robbers while returning from an away match. In a statement from the Ghana Football Association (GFA), it was reported that young team player Dominic Frimpong lost his life as a result of the armed attack carried out on the convoy.

The GFA stated that they are in constant communication with the Ghana Police Service and relevant authorities to clarify the incident and that the investigation is ongoing. The federation also noted that they will meet with relevant stakeholders to review and enhance security measures for clubs traveling to local events to prevent similar attacks from occurring in the future.
