In a drive-by shooting in Bakırköy, 35-year-old driver Ünsal Bahçeci lost his life. Police teams have launched an operation to capture the person or persons responsible for the attack.
A car moving on the street in Bakırköy, Istanbul, was shot at by unidentified individuals. The incident occurred around 09:00 in the Eski Havaalanı Caddesi of Yeşilköy neighborhood.
SHOTS FIRED AT A MOVING CAR
In the attack on the car with license plate 34 NTZ 242, which was heading towards Bakırköy, shots were fired at Ünsal Bahçeci, who was in the driver's seat. Following the gunfire, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification of those nearby.
DIED IN HOSPITAL
After the initial intervention by the medical teams, Bahçeci was taken to a nearby private hospital, where it was learned that he had been shot twice under his left armpit. However, despite all efforts, the 35-year-old driver lost his life.
3 EMPTY SHELLS FOUND AT THE SCENE
After the prosecutor's examination, Bahçeci's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution Morgue. Crime scene investigation teams identified 3 empty shells at the location where the attack occurred.
POLICE ON THE HUNT FOR THE ASSAILANTS
Following the attack, police teams launched a large-scale investigation to capture the suspect or suspects who fled the scene. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
