Izzet Eren, the leader of the Turkish gang Tottenham Boys operating in London, was killed in an armed attack at a cafe in the capital of Moldova, Chisinau. The attacker, wearing a helmet and riding an electric scooter, shot Eren with seven bullets, three of which hit his head, before fleeing the scene.

AN ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO KIDNAP HIM WHILE BEING TAKEN TO COURT
According to Cengiz Erdinç's report from Kısa Dalga, Eren was convicted in London in the 1990s for drug offenses, deported, and then returned to London. In 2015, he was arrested shortly before an attack with a loaded pistol and a machine gun. In 2016, while being taken to court in a police minibus, his nephew Özcan Eren attempted an unsuccessful kidnapping. An Uzi automatic pistol was found in the vehicle, resulting in a gang member being shot.
EXTRADITED TO TURKEY, ESCAPED FROM PRISON
Gökay Soğucaklı, who was tried with Eren, also received a five-and-a-half-year prison sentence. İzzet Eren, who was sentenced to a total of 21 years in prison, was extradited to Turkey in 2019 but escaped from prison a month later. Despite the extradition request from the UK, Eren was released after being captured in Moldova on May 26, 2022.
INVOLVED IN MANY CRIMES FROM DRUGS TO MURDER

The attacker, wearing a helmet and riding an electric scooter, fired his weapon while Eren was sitting in a chair in the cafe. After firing seven bullets, three of which hit his head, the attacker fled the scene. While the police were chasing the fugitive, İzzet Eren lost his life at the scene.
A SIMILAR MURDER WAS COMMITTED 2 MONTHS AGO
A similar murder occurred on May 4, 2024, in Barcelona, where İlmettin Aytekin, known as Tekin Kartal, was shot and killed with five bullets immediately after having a meal with Abdullah Baybaşin in a restaurant in the Sant Marti Forum area. The attacker was not found.
