Thus, the gram price has exceeded 7,000 TL in the physical market for the first time. In global markets, the ounce price has reached a new peak of 4,967 dollars and is approaching 5,000 dollars.
The dizzying volatility in gold prices continues in global markets. In yesterday's transactions, the ounce price, which gained 2.17%, closed at $4,936, and today it tested a high of $4,967, reaching a new peak.
THE STRONGEST ANNUAL PERFORMANCE IN 47 YEARS
The weakening dollar, tensions centered in Greenland, and criticisms towards the Fed have been the main factors supporting the upward movement in the precious metal. Gold, showcasing its strongest annual performance since 1979, has continued its rise in the first months of the year, gaining 15% in value.
GRAM GOLD EXCEEDS 7,000 TL
The volatility in the ounce price is also pushing the gram gold price to new records. On January 23, 2026, the gram gold price reached a new record level of 6,919 TL in the spot market.
Meanwhile, in the jewelers in the Grand Bazaar, the selling price of gram gold is 7,070 TL in the morning hours, and the selling price of a quarter gold is 11,529 TL. Thus, for the first time, gram gold has exceeded 7,000 TL in the physical market.
