In Istanbul and Ankara, under the protocol between PERDER and the Meat and Milk Institution, the prices of red meat and butter have been fixed until the end of the Ramadan month, and the implementation started today in PERDER member markets.
A price regulation that closely concerns citizens has been implemented before the month of Ramadan in Istanbul and Ankara. Under the protocol signed between the Istanbul and Ankara Retailers Association (PERDER) and the Meat and Milk Institution (ESK), the prices of red meat and butter have been fixed until the end of Ramadan.
CUBED MEAT WILL BE SOLD FOR 510 LIRA
Within the scope of the application, butter will be sold for 384 lira, minced meat for 485 lira, and cubed meat for 510 lira at PERDER member markets. The campaign will be valid starting today.
"WE WILL NOT ALLOW PROFITEERING"
Rahmi Kartal, the Chairman of the Istanbul PERDER Board of Directors, stated that affordable meat has been delivered to households in Istanbul thanks to the protocol carried out with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's Meat and Milk Institution since March 2023. Kartal expressed that they protect consumers against price increases with campaigns throughout the year and stated that they will not allow profiteering during Ramadan. He emphasized that they aim to bring the abundance of Ramadan to the tables.
NOT COMMERCIAL, SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Ramazan Gülhan, the President of Ankara PERDER, stated that the application is not a commercial campaign, but rather a product of a social responsibility understanding that is primarily focused on serving the citizens directly.
FIXED PRICES UNTIL THE END OF RAMADAN
The fixed prices determined for the products offered to the market by the Meat and Milk Institution are as follows:
- Minced meat 485 lira
- Cubed meat 510 lira
- Chunk 535 lira
- Sirloin 900 lira
- Ribeye 1,000 lira
- Tenderloin 1,200 lira
- Butter 384 lira

The products supplied through the Meat and Milk Institution are offered for sale in Istanbul at a total of 30 chain markets, including Altun, Gökkuşağı, Show, Örnek, Birmar, Biçen, Happy Center, Kim, Onur Market, Snowy, Onur Hypermarket, Irmaklar, Sarıyer, Aypa, Birlik Gross, Rota, Karabağ, Deniz, Kılıç, Grup Gökkuşağı, Koçak, Çapan, Badem Grup, Nar, Mopaş, Hakmar, Ecemar, Gümüşekomar, Irmaklar Gross, and Show Gross.

Within the scope of the application that will be valid until the end of Ramadan in Ankara, the prices of imported red meat and butter have been fixed at the branches of Yunus, Altunbilekler, City Gross, Gimsa, Gimat Gross, Anka Gross, Fix Gross, Ata Gross, AHM Okyanus, ADL Okyanus, Aru Gross, Bildirici, Kent Gross, Güreller, Ada Gross, Burak, Soykan, GrossA, and Gürkanlar markets.
