The kindergarten graduation ceremony at a school in Arkansas, United States, turned into chaos. When a major fight broke out among parents, school officials condemned this "unacceptable" behavior displayed in front of the small children.

On Wednesday, several adults were seen punching each other in the hallway of Faulk Elementary School in West Memphis. The screams of frightened children filled the crowded hallway.

According to video obtained by WREG, multiple men and women were in the midst of the fight, being thrown around the school. Other parents were trying to get their children away from the danger. The video also captured children crying out "stop."

Two tall men stood in the middle trying to separate the fighting women, but soon they also started throwing punches.

The fight eventually ended with others holding back the conflicting parties.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fight was not disclosed.

A West Memphis resident expressed a desire for the parents involved to face criminal prosecution due to their behavior during this major celebration.

A woman, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "They shouldn't have been in front of these children, especially since these are adults at a children's graduation. It should never have happened. They all need to be held accountable. Everyone who got involved. That's my thought on this."

No arrests were made at the elementary school located 8 miles west of Memphis, Tennessee.

West Memphis School District Superintendent Eric Foister warned the involved parents that their time was up.

"We have our own camera system, with audio. So we gathered all of them. Of course, we are a small community, so we know their names," Foister told Fox 13 Memphis.

The school district submitted the names of five adults who caused the disturbance to the West Memphis Police and announced that it would cooperate with law enforcement, citing a "zero tolerance" policy.

The West Memphis School District stated: "The safety of our students, staff, and school campuses continues to be our top priority. We have a zero tolerance for any behavior by parents, students, staff, or visitors that disrupts the learning environment or threatens the well-being of anyone on school property."

Foister criticized the poor role model behavior of the adults and reiterated that there would be legal consequences.

"If you come into our buildings and jeopardize the safety and well-being of our students and staff, I will hold you accountable to the fullest extent. I am working with our local law enforcement and will pass along all charges as much as I can," Foister said.

The angry official also announced that the adults involved were immediately banned from the school.

Foister added: "I will also ban you from our school property. If you are a parent, you may only have access to drop off and pick up your child. I do not want to punish the child for the parent's actions."
