Due to rising water levels in the Atatürk Dam Reservoir in the Kahta district of Adıyaman, some cafes and restaurants along the shore have been partially submerged.
After heavy rainfall, the Atatürk Dam overflowed. In Adıyaman Kahta, some businesses are struggling with water, and the water level is expected to return to normal within a week.
DAM WATER LEVEL REACHES CRITICAL LEVEL
Following the heavy rains effective this year, the Atatürk Dam lake reached full capacity, and in the Kahta section, seating areas and parking lots of some businesses were covered with water.
Yılmaz Saray, the operator of a restaurant partly submerged in the New Neighborhood, stated that the garden section was underwater.
BUSINESS OWNERS ARE APPREHENSIVE
Gardens Under WaterSaray, who said they have contacted authorities, reported that they learned the water level is expected to return to normal within approximately a week.
