Security camera footage has revealed the moments when cardboard boxes, believed to have caused a fire in a 10-story building in Şanlıurfa that resulted in approximately 33 million TL in damages to a workplace and 8 apartments, ignited.
FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED IN ABOUT 4 HOURS
A fire broke out last Sunday at a construction and building materials store on the ground floor of the 10-story Beyaz İnci Site in the city. The fire, which started for an undetermined reason in the closed store containing paint and decoration materials due to the weekend, grew larger. Thick smoke filled the building, and flames spread to the upper floors. Residents evacuated the building on their own. Upon notification, numerous firefighting teams were dispatched to the area. As fire trucks proved insufficient during the intervention, TOMA vehicles belonging to the police and gendarmerie also supported the extinguishing efforts. The fire was extinguished after approximately 4 hours of intervention. A total of 7 people, including 1 firefighter, were affected by the smoke.
