The Diyarbakır Governorship announced that a homemade explosive was thrown onto the road where the citizen entrance of the Provincial Police Department's main service building is located, and as a result of the work carried out by expert teams at the scene and its surroundings, the explosive did not cause any damage. The governorship also stated that efforts are ongoing to identify and capture two suspects with masked faces who fled the scene after the incident.

An improvised explosive device (IED) was thrown near the citizen entrance gate of the Provincial Police Department in Diyarbakır in the evening hours.
