Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made statements to Sky News Arabia regarding Turkey's European Union membership process. Fidan stated that the common points between Turkey and the EU are more than ever today, but expressed that he does not believe Turkey will become an EU member as long as the EU maintains its current political stance towards Turkey. Fidan emphasized that as long as the EU has a mindset of identity politics against Turkey, membership will never happen.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made important statements to Sky News Arabia regarding Turkey's European Union (EU) membership process and the future of global politics. Fidan emphasized that the common points between Turkey and the EU are more significant today than ever, while highlighting that the main obstacle to membership is "mentality." Fidan stated, "As long as the European Union maintains its current political stance towards Turkey, I do not think Turkey will become an EU member."

"AS LONG AS IDENTITY POLITICS CONTINUES, THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN"

Reminding that Turkey has been a candidate country for a long time, Fidan criticized the policies the EU has pursued against Turkey. Minister Fidan stated, "As long as the European Union has a mentality of identity politics towards Turkey, this (membership) will never happen," indicating that the process is in a political and cultural deadlock.

"THEY HAVE FAILED TO BECOME A CIVILIZATION-TRANSCENDING INSTITUTION"

Providing a striking analysis of the structural development of the EU, Fidan said that the union has succeeded in establishing a supranational structure within itself but has failed to carry this to a broader vision. Fidan expressed that "the EU has managed to become a supranational institution but has failed to become a civilization-transcending institution," stating that the union excludes Turkey because it sees it as belonging to "a different religion and a different civilization."

THE WORLD'S NEED IS COEXISTENCE

At the end of his speech, Minister Fidan addressed global issues, stating that the solution to humanity's fundamental problems is not exclusionary policies but inclusivity. According to Fidan, the real need of the world is for different civilizations to come together under a single roof and coexist.
