As the decapitation murder that took place in Şişli, Istanbul, made headlines across the country, footage has emerged showing the moments when the suspects, who killed 37-year-old Durdona Khokimova from Uzbekistan and dismembered her before leaving her body in a trash container in Şişli, were captured. The footage includes moments when the suspects, who were trying to flee to Georgia, were detained by police teams.
In Şişli, a headless female corpse was found inside a trash container. After the incident, suspects D.A.U.T. (31) and G.A.K. (29), who attempted to flee to Georgia, were captured at Istanbul Airport, and footage of their arrest has emerged.
At around 8:00 PM on Kuyulubağ Street in the Duatepe neighborhood, a body wrapped in a sheet was found in a trash container. Upon receiving a tip-off, the police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. During the examination, it was determined that the body was headless and belonged to a woman. Furthermore, as a result of fingerprint analysis taken from the corpse, it was identified that the woman was Durdona Khokimova, a citizen of Uzbekistan. While the police investigation at the scene concluded, the body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute's morgue. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
THEY WERE CAUGHT AT THE AIRPORT
Following the incident, the Homicide Bureau teams began working to capture the suspects. In operations conducted in coordination with the Intelligence Branch Directorate, it was learned that the murder was committed by D.A.U.T., a suspect from Uzbekistan who was in a relationship with Durdona Khokimova, and that G.A.K. assisted him.
After reviewing hundreds of security camera footage, it was determined that the two suspects went to Istanbul Airport to flee to Georgia. The suspects were detained before they could escape abroad after 8 hours of work. Additionally, another person named E.K. was also detained in the ongoing investigation.
