With the amendment to the Family Medicine Contract and Payment Regulation, a new scoring system has been introduced for family physicians and healthcare workers regarding contracts and payment principles. The requirement of at least 70 points and the new incentive rates aim to enhance the quality of service.

The Regulation on Amendments to the Family Medicine Contract and Payment Management has been published in the Official Gazette.

"70 POINT" CONDITION FOR FAMILY DOCTORS

According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, the regulation introduces changes to the contract and payment principles for family doctors and family health workers. To renew their contracts, family doctors and family health workers will be required to obtain at least 70 points based on the point table determined by the Ministry, which has been added to the regulation.

In addition to citizen satisfaction and rational drug use criteria, the new point table, which includes indicators such as the monitoring rates of pregnant women and infants, has been reorganized to reflect the incentive rates on the ceiling fee. If there is a concern regarding the continuation of the family doctor's or family health worker's duty, the suspension period may be extended for an additional 2 months, limited to one time.

In payments to family doctors, it has been decided that for population groups that have not received any services from a family doctor in the last year, half of the coefficient will be taken into account, and payments in integrated health service units will be organized accordingly.
