Author Azra Kohen drew criticism by stating that Palestinians knowingly took their children to places where bombs would be dropped during the massacre in the Gaza Strip, saying "Anyone who does not protect their offspring and exposes them to danger does not deserve to live."
Since October 7th, dozens of citizens have lost their lives in the attacks on the Gaza Strip. Despite the International Court of Justice's call to "stop the attacks," Israel, which continues its attacks, targeted Rafah. Commenting on the attack that claimed the lives of more than 40 civilians, writer Azra Kohen said that Palestinians deliberately take their children to places where bombs will be dropped.
"THOSE WHO FEED ON THEIR OFFSPRING DO NOT DESERVE LIFE" In response to a person's comment on the attacks on her Instagram account, Azra Kohen said, "I wish for the disappearance of anyone who has the ability to take their own offspring to a place where the bomb will be dropped, which is announced three hours in advance with a megaphone and called out loudly, and sit them down in the place where the bomb will be dropped, and then go to a corner and film it. And I pray every day for the rescue of those children. For their rescue from those disgusting creatures who put them in the bomb zone to film their videos. You should be a being with the ability to analyze the conditions of a video taken if you have the ability to analyze human beings. I hope you see things as they are. No one who does not protect their offspring deserves life."
The number of people who have lost their lives in the attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has exceeded 36,000.
AZRA KOHEN'S STATEMENT Azra Kohen, who made a statement in a video after the reactions, said the following: "Months ago, a video was sent to me to share. There is a group that exploits children, and I got into a big argument with them on social media. There were images of children being exploited and sacrificed because some videos were taken. Today, I wrote the responses you see. They took certain parts from the midst of the clash and published them. Lies upon lies are being told. A person should be ashamed of themselves when they tell so many lies about someone else. I was born and raised in a Muslim family. As a mother, I have incredible feelings for all children in the world, regardless of language, religion, or race. I am someone who suffers from great heartache. As if the children killed by Israel were not enough, this is my reaction to those who cause the exploitation of children for the sake of filming videos. There are quite a few of them. There are children who are killed so that we can share."
"I DID NOT SAY A SINGLE WORD TO PALESTINIAN MOTHERS, BUT CHILDREN ARE BEING KILLED FOR THE SAKE OF FILMING VIDEOS" "I did not say a single word to Palestinian mothers. I reacted to those who allow children to be sacrificed for the sake of filming videos. I find the Israeli state unforgivable because of the innocent people, especially children, that it kills. There is no other way. I made comments about the issue based on a video. They don't publish my comments because of the children. They have prepared this for that purpose. They are now publishing these comments, so that the fact that children are sacrificed for the sake of filming does not come to light. It is true that children are being killed. Some by Israel and some by the people who film those videos. I pray for the bombs and deaths to stop. I also condemn the latest bomb that was dropped. There is only one video, and I made dozens of comments based on that video. They have been cherry-picked."
