According to the decision signed by President Erdoğan and published in the Official Gazette, starting from today, foreign-registered vehicles will not be able to leave the country without paying the fines they have incurred in Turkey.

The regulation titled 'Regulation on the Collection of Administrative Fines Imposed on Foreign-Plated Vehicles in accordance with Law No. 4925 and Decree Law No. 655' prepared jointly by four ministries has been published in the Official Gazette and has come into effect.

The procedures and principles regarding the collection of fines imposed on foreign-plated road vehicles have been regulated.

Accordingly, the fines imposed on these vehicles will be transferred to the electronic system immediately. The customs administration will not allow vehicles that have not paid their fines to exit the country.
