Fenerbahçe is planning transfers to enter the second half of the season with a stronger squad. The yellow-navy team is particularly looking to reinforce the number 8 position and the forward line, and has set its sights on Quinten Timber from Feyenoord and Vitaly Janelt from Brentford. Additionally, Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus and Alexander Sörloth from Atletico Madrid are among the targets for the forward line.
Head coach Domenico Tedesco and the management have taken action to enter the second half of the season with a stronger squad. The yellow-navy team, which has reached a consensus especially on the "number 8" reinforcement, aims to address the deficiencies in the midfield.
"EVERYONE CAN MAKE THIS TEAM A CHAMPION"
Former president Ali Koç stated at the beginning of the season, "Everyone can make this team a champion, but we will complete the number 8 transfer in January." Duran's long-term injury and En-Nesyri's inconsistent performance have also made a forward transfer necessary.
EMERGENCY REINFORCEMENT PLAN FOR THE WINTER TRANSFER WINDOW
The management has identified candidates for both positions. At the top of the list is Quinten Timber, who plays for Feyenoord. The 24-year-old star's contract expires at the end of the season, and the player wants to open a new chapter in his career.
Another name on the list is Vitaly Janelt from Brentford. The 27-year-old German midfielder's contract will also expire in June. Janelt, who has not been getting as much playing time in the English Premier League this season, is among the players Tedesco likes.
STAR STRIKER TARGET
Due to Jhon Duran's ongoing injury and En-Nesyri's inconsistent performance, Fenerbahçe is also taking action for a striker transfer during the winter break. The management has two important names in mind: Dusan Vlahovic and Alexander Sörloth. An attempt will be made again for Vlahovic, whose contract with Juventus will expire at the end of the season. Although the Serbian striker's priority is England, it is claimed that Sadettin Saran will personally meet with the player to try to persuade him.
The other candidate is Alexander Sörloth, who is not getting regular playing time at Atletico Madrid. The situation of the 29-year-old Norwegian forward is being closely monitored at the request of the coaching staff.
MANAGEMENT IS PREPARING, REPORT AWAITED
Fenerbahçe plans to complete both midfield and forward reinforcements before the winter break. The performance report to be prepared by Tedesco will be decisive in determining transfer priorities. The management continues to monitor alternative names in the European market.
