Fenerbahçe, the Turkish football club, plans to strengthen four positions during the mid-season transfer window and received its first negative response regarding the players on its list from England. Brighton has closed the door on Ferdi Kadıoğlu.
Fenerbahçe has accelerated its efforts for the mid-season transfer period in line with the report of head coach Domenico Tedesco. The yellow-navy team aims to strengthen the identified weak areas in their squad planning by making reinforcements in four different positions: left-back, center-back, midfielder, and forward.
For the left-back position, Ferdi Kadıoğlu, in the center-back line Kim Min-Jae, and in the midfield, Leon Goretzka are among the primary targets. For the forward line, negotiations are ongoing for a striker whose name has not yet been finalized.
SARAN: TRANSFER WILL NOT BE EASY
Fenerbahçe President Sadettin Saran recently addressed the transfer plans during a press conference. Saran highlighted the difficulties of finding quality players during the mid-season transfer period, stating, "Of course, we have efforts, but making transfers in the mid-season is always difficult. We want to choose the right names both financially and sportively."
BRIGHTON IS NOT LETTING FERDI GO
In the transfer of Ferdi Kadıoğlu, who is at the top of Fenerbahçe's list, bad news has arrived for the yellow-navy team. Brighton's head coach Fabian Hürzeler emphasized Ferdi's important role in the team and is not keen on selling the player.
