MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli spoke at the group meeting in Parliament about the standoff with CHP's group meeting. Bahçeli said, 'The claims of two different directions and two different centers within CHP are concerning. What CHP and Mr. Özgür Özel need to do is not to fuel the fire but to act with common sense.'
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli gave critical messages at his party's group meeting. Highlights from Bahçeli's statements are as follows:
"Around CHP municipalities, there have been suspicion processes accumulating for a long time, along with consecutive cases such as abuse of office. Today we see that this dissolution, which started locally, has collapsed onto CHP's roof. The profligacy evident in CHP municipalities has now spread to the headquarters.
Overshadowing legal processes that should be met with common sense, using a confrontational tone, is a sign of political apocalypse. Our issue is not to derive political gain from the disarray CHP has fallen into. The claim that CHP today has two different directions and two different centers is worrying. Here, what falls to CHP and Mr. Özgür Özel is not to add fuel to the fire but to act with sound reasoning."
