Bayern Munich Routs Eintracht Frankfurt With 6 Goals In Bundesliga Season Opener

Bayern Munich won the 2022-23 season opener Friday in the German Bundesliga by scoring six goals.

The reigning champions scored five times in the first half against Eintracht Frankfurt for an eventual result of 6-1.

Joshua Kimmich scored the first goal of the season in the fifth minute at Deutsche Bank Park.

Benjamin Pavard made it 2-0 five minutes later, then new signing Sadio Mane made his goal debut with his new club in the 29th minute.

Jamal Musiala made it 4-0 and just before the first half ended, Serge Gnabry added another in the 43rd minute.

The host team pulled one back in the 64th minute but Musiala rounded out the scoring in the 83rd minute.

Arsenal passes Crystal Palace with 2-0

Arsenal shut out Crystal Palace 2-0 on Friday in the season opener of the English Premier League.

Gabriel Martinelli drew first blood for the Gunners in the 20th minute at Selhurst Park Stadium.

Marc Guehi's own goal secured the win in the 85th minute.

Olympique Lyon beats Ajaccio 2-1

In the first match of the new season in French Ligue 1 Olympique Lyon beat Ajaccio 2-1 on Friday.

Tete of Lyon netted an early opener in the 12th minute at Parc Olympique Lyonnais.

New signing Alexandre Lacazette scored from a penalty kick in the 22nd minute.

Anthony Lopes of Lyon was shown a red card in the 27th minute of the match.

Just four minutes later, Ajaccio took one back with Thomas Mangani's penalty goal but before the end of the first half, they were down to 10 men, as Romain Hamouma was sent-off in the 49th minute. -
