In the Viranşehir district of Şanlıurfa, 26-year-old gendarmerie sergeant Ferhat Baykir, who was playing a turf field match with his friends, died of a heart attack.
According to the information received, the incident occurred yesterday evening around 20:30 in the Viranşehir district of Şanlıurfa.
COLLAPSED ON THE FIELD DURING A MATCH
Ferhat Baykir, a 26-year-old gendarmerie specialist sergeant, collapsed while playing a turf field match with his friends. Upon notification from his friends, medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
PASSED AWAY AT THE HOSPITAL
Baykir, determined to have suffered a heart attack, was taken by ambulance to Viranşehir State Hospital after initial intervention. Despite receiving treatment, he passed away today.
Baykir, registered in the Uludere district of Şırnak, completed his training at the Kırkağaç Gendarmerie Commando Training Center Command between May 10, 2022, and November 18, 2022, and began his professional career, serving under the Şanlıurfa Provincial Gendarmerie Command since December 5, 2022.
It was stated that Baykir, who was single, will have his funeral sent to his hometown of Uludere district in Şırnak.
The Şanlıurfa Provincial Gendarmerie Command also expressed sorrow over the death and issued a condolence message.
