A driver who wanted to protect his car from the harmful effects of summer heat and sunlight experienced the shock of his life when he lifted the tarp covering his vehicle. Due to extreme heat, the plastic coating on the inside of the tarp melted and completely adhered to the car's bodywork.
The "cover protection" method frequently used by vehicle owners in summer backfired this time. The driver, aiming to protect their car's paint from sunburn, encountered an unexpected sight when opening the cover.
DIFFICULT-TO-REVERSE MARKS LEFT ON THE BODYWORK
As temperatures rose above seasonal norms, the cover on the car left in the sun for long periods created an oven effect. The inner lining of the cover, made from low-quality material, could not withstand the high temperature, melted, and directly embedded into the vehicle's paint.
The driver was greatly astonished to see large stains and wavy marks on the bodywork after removing the cover. Experts warn that especially low-quality, non-breathable covers with high plastic content can melt under the sun, causing serious damage to vehicle paint and varnish. It is emphasized that heat-resistant, high-quality, and breathable fabric automotive textile products should be preferred to avoid similar grievances.
