In a shooting incident that broke out in a vineyard house in Çörten Village of Kilis, Mehmet Nuri Çamlı, who was seriously injured, lost his life despite all medical interventions at the hospital. The suspect of the incident, Y.R.P., was caught and taken into custody by police teams along with the crime weapon, a pistol. It was determined that the suspect was under the influence of alcohol during the incident.

COULD NOT BE SAVED DESPITE ALL INTERVENTIONS
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred on September 5, 2026, at around 22:30, in a vineyard house in Çörten Village, affiliated with the Central District of Kilis.
Mehmet Nuri Çamlı, injured in the firearm incident, was transported to the hospital unconscious. Despite all interventions by health teams and hospital doctors, Çamlı could not be saved and died.
TAKEN INTO CUSTODY, FOUND TO BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL
Following the incident, within the scope of investigations initiated by security forces, the suspect identified as Y.R.P., determined to have used the firearm, was apprehended and taken into custody at around 04:30 on September 6, 2026, along with the crime weapon, a pistol. It was also determined that the suspect was under the influence of alcohol.
