Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 12 suspects, including 1 child, were detained in an operation carried out against the 'Ay Group' criminal organization in Istanbul. While it was determined that the suspects were involved in acts such as attempted murder, arson, and shooting, unlicensed guns, hand grenades, and bulletproof vests were seized at their addresses.
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the criminal organization known as the 'Moon Group,' 12 suspects were detained in an operation carried out by police teams targeting individuals determined to be involved in various actions.
INVESTIGATION INTO NUMEROUS CRIMES
A new investigation was launched by the Organized Crimes Investigation Bureau of the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the 'Moon Group' criminal organization, which was determined to be active in the Bağcılar, Esenyurt, and Büyükçekmece districts of Istanbul and found to be involved in numerous crimes, including 'establishing, managing, and being a member of an armed criminal organization for profit,' 'aggravated robbery,' and 'manufacturing and trafficking of narcotic or psychotropic substances.'
NUMEROUS SHOOTING INCIDENTS
Within the scope of the investigation, an inquiry was conducted regarding the incidents between July 20 and August 2, in which organization members attempted to deliberately kill a person in Esenler, set fire to an auto gallery operating in Beşiktaş and a restaurant in Sarıyer, and shot at an auto gallery in Kağıthane.
12 SUSPECTS, INCLUDING 1 MINOR, APPREHENDED
During the efforts, 12 individuals were identified, 1 of whom was under the age of 18. Upon the order of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, all of the individuals were taken into custody by police teams. In searches conducted at the suspects' addresses, 2 unlicensed firearms, 1 hand grenade, and 2 bulletproof vests were seized.
