Suddenly, the crocodile leaps out of the water and grabs a buffalo from the herd with its jaws. Its aim is to pull it underwater and drown it. In those moments, the buffalo's head is completely submerged, and it seems like everything is over for the onlookers.
However, something unexpected happens. The buffalo thrashes with great force and resurfaces. Its powerful horns prevent the crocodile from executing its deadly bite completely. As the crocodile fails to grasp its neck properly, it loses control.

These impressive moments were captured by 37-year-old safari guide Lazarus Mceric Bobota in Lower Zambezi National Park. Bobota states that he has been documenting the lives of wild animals for about a decade.
Bobota, who mentions that he has been following the same herd of buffalo for about two years, expresses that such attacks are very rare. He recalls witnessing a similar incident only once before, when a crocodile targeted a baby elephant.
Bobota described his experience, saying, "The crocodile opened its jaws and wanted to catch its prey. We experienced a very tense moment that showed the true face of nature. This was the purest form of the safari experience."
According to experts, this incident once again highlights how fine the line is for survival in the wild.
