The president of Karaman FK, a team in the 2nd League White Group, Murat Çolakoğlu, made a statement regarding the news that Galatasaray's Nigerian star Victor Osimhen wanted to buy the club.
DENIAL OF PURCHASE CLAIMS
Karaman FK President Murat Çolakoğlu stated that the claims about Galatasaray player Victor Osimhen buying the club do not reflect the truth. Çolakoğlu emphasized that the club is not for sale and mentioned that individuals who do not support the club can provide support if they wish.
Murat Çolakoğlu's statement is as follows:
"What we learned especially from social media, the news that Victor Osimhen wants to buy our club is not true. There has been no attempt or discussion. The Karaman Football Club Association belongs to the people of Karaman, it is not for sale.
Of course, our doors are open to everyone who wants to support the Karaman team. No matter who this person is, they cannot buy Karaman FK by saying 'I will buy it' as if purchasing a property or goods.
Our team will play a very important away match on Wednesday. We have many deficiencies. During a period where we are experiencing serious difficulties both financially and spiritually, we will not allow such speculations to come to the agenda and our team's name to be used as social media material.
Moreover, it deeply saddens us that the local press, which has remained silent about all the difficulties and negativities we have faced since the beginning of the season, uses false news to make our team a subject.
We kindly ask our fellow citizens of Karaman not to pay attention to such news made outside of our official club accounts."
