Singer Burcu Güneş, who said, "I don't see Demet Akalın as close to me in terms of art, effort, stance, or quality," fired back at İrem Derici, Ece Seçkin, and Bengü, who supported Akalın. Güneş used expressions like, "Drink a soda at iftar. Be respectful to your elders. Button up when you mention my name, say a prayer," to which İrem Derici also responded very harshly.
After Burcu Güneş's statements about Demet Akalın at an event she attended, the situation got heated. Güneş stated about Akalın, "I neither see her as an artist close to me nor as an effort. I do not see her as close to me in terms of stance or quality. I do not see her at any level that could compete with me on my path, neither in art nor in singing. You all actually know this very well," and she lashed out at İrem Derici, Ece Seçkin, and Bengü, who supported Demet Akalın.

In her social media posts, Burcu Güneş mentioned Ece Seçkin, saying, "Ece Seçkin, drink a soda at iftar... It’s good for indigestion. :) After that, have 2/3 cups of coffee. Clear your head. Güneş addressed İrem Derici, who defended Demet Akalın, saying, "Magazin flower İrem Derici; when you comment about me somewhere, before you mention my name, button up and stand in respect.
