The "transfer" crisis in Afyonkarahisar, ongoing for two days, has reached a complete breaking point. CHP Deputy Group Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır effectively declared war on Burcu Köksal, whose transition to AK Party has been finalized. Addressing party members gathered in front of the municipal building, Başarır made a historically harsh call, saying, "Don't let her walk these streets." Başarır stated, "For us and for you, there is no such mayor anymore. May God forgive her, but we will not."

Afyonkarahisar continues to be shaken by Mayor Burcu Köksal's decision to switch to the AK Party. On the second day of protests, tensions reached their peak. CHP Deputy Group Chair Ali Mahir Başarır and Ankara Deputy Umut Akdoğan addressed the citizens gathered in front of the municipal building in Afyon, heavily criticizing Köksal.

BAŞARIR'S "STREET" CALL: "THERE IS NO SUCH MAYOR ANYMORE"

CHP Deputy Group Chair Ali Mahir Başarır, in his speech, set aside all diplomatic language and directly targeted Köksal. Arguing that Köksal had betrayed the people's will, Başarır said, "For us and for you, there is no such mayor anymore. May God forgive her, but we will not. She committed an unforgivable crime. Protest her wherever you see her, do not let her walk these streets!"

NOT LEAF FALL, BUT DISTRICT CLEANING

Addressing claims that Köksal was being "threatened," Başarır expressed his reaction, saying, "Tell me who is threatening you, I will stand behind you. I will put the handcuffs meant for you on my own wrist. Shame on the cowards! Politics is written by the brave." Başarır described the process not as a "leaf fall" but as a "district cleaning" within the CHP.

During the protest, where police teams took extensive security measures around the municipal building, citizens chanted slogans such as "Burcu resign" while holding placards reading "That seat is not yours, it belongs to the nation."
