The terrorist organization PKK, which announced that it held its congress on May 5-7, also declared on May 12 that it had decided to lay down arms and dissolve. Tülay Hatimoğulları, Co-Chair of the DEM Party, commented on PKK's dissolution decision during her party's group meeting, stating that it is "a turning point" and made a significant call to the government.
