Burhan Temur, a 30-year ice cream master in Kilis, sells a scoop of ice cream for 10 lira, while criticizing its sale for 400 lira in Muğla, stating this price is unreasonable. The price per kilogram of ice cream is 400 lira, and the pistachio variety is 600 lira.
While a scoop of ice cream being sold for 400 liras in a business in Muğla became a topic of discussion, a remarkable statement came from Kilis. Burhan Temur, who has been making ice cream in the city for 30 years, said that they sell a scoop of ice cream made with natural ingredients for 10 liras.
Temur, stating that he is the third-generation representative of the profession, expressed that they continue the ice cream business from father to son.
"A SCOOP OF ICE CREAM CANNOT BE 400 LIRAS"
Temur stated that they sell ice cream for 400 liras per kilogram, pistachio ice cream for 600 liras per kilogram, and plain ice cream for 350 liras per kilogram.
Temur, saying that a scoop of ice cream is 10 liras, said, "A scoop of ice cream cannot be 400 liras. A scoop of ice cream is not worth 400 liras anywhere in the world. We bring goat milk from the village every day. The salep is natural, the sugar is natural, all the fruits we use are natural. Ice cream does not have such excessively expensive ingredients. Even if you put gold water in it, it would not be worth 400 liras."
"SHOULD NOT EXCEED 100 LIRAS"
Temur, noting that rent and operating expenses may be higher in big cities, said that despite this, prices should be at reasonable levels. Temur said, "It can be 50 liras, it can be 100 liras, but the price of a scoop of ice cream should not exceed 100 liras."
CITIZENS ARE ALSO PLEASED WITH THE PRICES
Citizens living in Kilis also stated that ice cream prices in the city are reasonable, noting that more than a kilogram of ice cream can be bought for 400 liras and that prices are generally at these levels.
