In the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, a moving car was engulfed in flames due to a fire that broke out in the engine compartment. The fire was extinguished by fire crews, with no injuries reported, but the vehicle was completely rendered unusable.
A car traveling on the highway between Tekirdağ's Çorlu district and Yenice Mahallesi became unusable after a fire broke out in the engine compartment.
CAUGHT FIRE AFTER TURBO FAILURE
The incident occurred around 21:00 on the Çorlu-Yenice road. According to the information obtained, a turbo failure occurred in the car heading towards Çorlu. Shortly after the failure, the smoke rising from the engine part turned into flames.
Noticing the situation, the driver pulled the vehicle to the side of the road and got out, while upon the notification of nearby citizens, fire crews were dispatched to the scene.
CAR BECAME UNUSABLE
The fire, which grew quickly, engulfed the entire vehicle, but the flames were brought under control with the intervention of the fire crews. No one was injured in the fire, while the car was completely burned and became unusable. There was a brief traffic congestion on the road due to the fire, and police and fire crews launched an investigation into the incident.
