Sad news has come from the mine in Zonguldak, where a collapse occurred. One worker was rescued with injuries, while the lifeless bodies of two workers were found. Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that the Zonguldak Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the incident.

1 INJURED WORKER RESCUED FROM THE COLLAPSE

After the collapse that occurred in the mine owned by Hüseyin Bektaş in the Dağbaca area of Gelik, Zonguldak, the rescue operation initiated saw the Turkey Hard Coal Enterprise (TTK) rescue teams and gendarmerie teams racing against time. Despite the difficult conditions underground, the teams reached the location of miner İsmet Kabuk and managed to bring the unfortunate worker to the surface alive.

İsmet Kabuk, who was brought to daylight safely, was handed over to the medical teams waiting at the mine entrance. After the initial examination at the scene, Kabuk was transferred by ambulance to Atatürk State Hospital for a general health check, and it was learned that his health condition was good.

BODIES OF 2 WORKERS FOUND

While the rescue of the first worker raised hopes, heartbreaking news followed. The lifeless bodies of Veysel Oruçoğlu (46) and Ziya Kiret (60), who were trapped under the rubble, were found.

PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE LAUNCHED AN INVESTIGATION

Justice Minister Akın Gürlek also made a statement regarding the matter. Minister Gürlek announced that the Zonguldak Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation.
