A chain reaction traffic accident that occurred in Nevşehir ended in tragedy. After a head-on collision between two cars, a minibus was also involved in the accident, resulting in the deaths of 2 people and injuries to 7 others, 2 of whom are in serious condition.
A chain traffic accident involving three vehicles in Nevşehir claimed lives. In the horrific accident that occurred at the Karapınar junction, 2 people lost their lives while 7 others were injured, 2 of them seriously.
THEY COLLIDED HEAD-ON
The accident occurred at the Karapınar junction on the Nevşehir-Acıgöl highway. According to the information obtained, the car driven by Yasin Ç. collided head-on with the car driven by Mehmet Gültekin Cingitaş.
After the collision, a minibus driven by Hasan S., which was traveling towards Nevşehir from Aksaray, also crashed into the vehicles involved in the accident. Thus, the accident became a chain reaction.
TEAMS WERE MOBILIZED
Upon the notification of citizens who witnessed the accident, a large number of health, fire, AFAD, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured trapped in the vehicles were rescued by the fire brigade and handed over to the health teams.
15-YEAR-OLD CHILD LOST HIS LIFE
In the accident, Mehmet Gültekin Cingitaş, one of the car drivers, and 15-year-old Aras Cingitaş, who was a passenger in the same vehicle, lost their lives at the scene.
THE CONDITION OF THE INJURED IS SERIOUS
Seven people, two of whom are seriously injured, were treated in hospitals in the city. It was learned that some of the injured are in critical condition.
Authorities announced that a comprehensive investigation has been initiated regarding the accident.
