The child's parent, Gamze T., came to the school and took her injured son to Bursa City Hospital by her own means. Here, Poyraz, who was treated, had his severed finger found by his friends in the school hallway. The family delivered the finger to the doctors in a cooler after rushing it to the hospital. The little boy was transferred to Uludağ University, where a successful operation was performed to reattach his finger.
MOTHER DESCRIBED THE INCIDENT IN TEARS
Describing the incident in tears, mother Gamze T. stated that she was shocked by what she saw when she arrived at the school, saying, "I saw that my child's finger was only wrapped in a tissue. I took him to the hospital by my own means. It is unbelievable that no health team or ambulance was called to the school," she said.
The family filed a complaint against the teacher Ü.Ö.K., whom they claimed acted negligently, while the police launched an investigation into the incident. Parents also expressed their reaction to this incident, stating that they expect more sensitivity from school administrators and teachers.
