Chilling statement in the Nuriye Dilmaç murder: My father strangled my mother, we buried her in the excavation site.

A chilling confession has come from the son in the murder of Nuriye Dilmaç in Kartal, Istanbul. In his statement, the suspect son said that his father strangled his mother to death and buried her in a sack at a landfill site in Şile. Following the statement, five suspects, including the victim's ex-husband, were arrested. Excavation efforts are ongoing to find Dilmaç's body.

Five of the eight suspects detained on the allegation that a woman was murdered and buried in a construction waste dumping site in Şile have been arrested.

"MY FATHER STRANGLED MY MOTHER, WE BURIED HER IN THE DUMPING SITE"

On March 20, 2024, after Nuriye Dilmaç was reported missing in Kartal, her sister and father filed a missing person report. Following this, an investigation was initiated by the Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding Dilmaç's disappearance.

As the investigation deepened after examining the HTS records, Dilmaç's ex-husband D.D, along with their child E.D. and the siblings of the ex-wife E.D, Z.D., and C.D. were added to the case as suspects and detained.

The victim Dilmaç's son, suspect E.D., stated in his testimony that his father D.D. strangled his mother and that they buried her in a sack in the construction waste dumping site in Şile.

After E.D. was taken to the scene for a location demonstration, excavation work began with heavy machinery and cadaver dogs.

5 SUSPECTS ARRESTED

Following additional evidence, the number of suspects detained in the investigation rose to 8 with the capture of 3 more suspects. The suspects, whose procedures were completed at the police station, were taken to the courthouse. Of the suspects whose statements were taken by the prosecutor's office, 6 were referred to the duty magistrate with a request for arrest, while 2 were referred with a request for judicial control.

The court ruled for the arrest of 5 suspects, including the victim's ex-husband D.D., while 3 suspects were released under judicial control conditions.

The excavation and search efforts initiated to find the victim's body are ongoing.
