The Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced that the US-based companies PVH and Illumina have been added to the list of untrustworthy entities. The ministry stated that the companies included in this list have violated market regulations.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce stated that the list of unreliable entities targets only a small number of foreign organizations that harm market rules and violate Chinese laws. Ministry Spokesperson He Yongqian noted at a regular press conference that two U.S. companies, PVH and Illumina, were added to China's list of unreliable entities on February 4. He added that with this move, the companies in question could be subject to one or more measures under Article 10 of the provisions regarding the list of unreliable entities in the country.

"WE ARE BEING CAUTIOUS"

While addressing issues related to China's list of unreliable entities, the spokesperson emphasized that there is no reason for honest and law-abiding foreign organizations to be concerned. He stated that the Chinese government remains committed to inviting companies from around the world to invest and operate in China and to providing a stable, fair, and predictable business environment for foreign enterprises that respect the laws in the country.
