Speaking at the "Humanitarian Solution Workshop for the Kurdish Issue" organized by his party, HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu stated, "Instead of correcting the method and approach following unsuccessful attempts, the existence of the problem is being denied again, or it is claimed that everything that needs to be done has been done and the problem has been resolved. The issue is not over; it continues."
The HÜDA PAR Human Rights and Legal Affairs Presidency held a greeting speech at the "Humanitarian Solution Workshop for the Kurdish Issue" organized in Diyarbakır by HÜDA PAR General President Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, who emphasized that no inhumane solution can be realistic and permanent, drawing attention to the name of the workshop.
HÜDA PAR General President Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu spoke at the "Humanitarian Solution Workshop for the Kurdish Issue" organized by his party. Stating that "The Kurdish Issue is one of our most important issues that has existed for over 100 years," Yapıcıoğlu said, "For some, the Kurdish Issue is merely a matter of terrorism/violence/public order. For others, the issue is the economic underdevelopment of the regions where Kurds live and their insufficient development."
"THERE IS A CONSENSUS ON THE EXISTENCE OF THE PROBLEM AND ITS SOLUTION"
Yapıcıoğlu also stated, "According to some, the essence of the issue is the denial of the existence of Kurds and the oppressions experienced throughout history. For others, the brotherhood that has existed between two different tribes since the arrival of Turks in Anatolia a thousand years ago has been harmed due to the distancing from Islam, which is the foundation of brotherhood. In short, although thoughts on the causes of the issue and its solutions may vary, there is a consensus that there is a problem and that this problem needs to be resolved."
"NO MORE TIME SHOULD BE WASTED WITH BAND-AID SOLUTIONS"
Yapıcıoğlu expressed that the Kurdish issue should not be delayed any further by merely discussing it, stating, "During this workshop, valuable participants will share their ideas and suggestions regarding the solution of the issue through their presentations over two days. There are participants from different political views here. God willing, we will benefit from their ideas and the results that will emerge. I would like to thank all the friends who will enrich our workshop with their participation once again. The name of the workshop is 'Humanitarian Solution Workshop for the Kurdish Issue.' There is a message in this: no inhumane solution can be realistic or permanent. More time should not be wasted with band-aid solutions; we must stop merely discussing brotherhood and realize its legal aspects."
Recalling a speech he made 7 years ago on April 19, 2018, Yapıcıoğlu noted:
"The historical unity of the Kurds with their Muslim Turkish brothers has changed the course of history. The unity at Malazgirt in 1071 opened the gates of conquest to Anatolia. The unity in 1514 paved the way for the unity of a significant part of other Islamic tribes. The unity in 1915 closed the Dardanelles and the gates of Anatolia to Western imperialists. Kurds are not tenants or refugees; they are the owners of this homeland and one of the founding peoples of the state. For centuries, Kurds who lived in brotherhood with other Muslim tribes have been perceived as a problem after the rise of the nation-state idea, and their identities and existence have been denied.
"THE ISSUE HAS NOT ENDED, IT CONTINUES"
Later, although their existence has been acknowledged and attempts have been made to find solutions to the issue, the problem has deepened and gained an international character because it has not been correctly named, and the right prescriptions have not been applied due to the use of incorrect methods. Instead of correcting the method and approach after unsuccessful attempts, the existence of the problem has been denied again, or it has been claimed that everything that needed to be done has been done and the problem has been resolved. The issue has not ended; it continues. The problem is ours, it belongs to all of us, and it must be resolved.
I had briefly defined the issue as follows: The issue is the inability to realize brotherhood, which lacks legal recognition and thus remains nominal. It is the breakdown of unity due to deviation from justice and the disregard for common grounds."
"THE CONTINUATION OF THE ISSUE WITHOUT A SOLUTION WILL NEGATIVELY AFFECT THE ENTIRE REGION"
Yapıcıoğlu emphasized that the Kurdish issue should be resolved through peace and justice, stating, "There is no doubt about the necessity of a solution. The expressions of unity, brotherhood, and strengthening the internal front or similar are all obligations. In fact, they all mean the same thing. We must resolve our issue through peace and justice. Because the result of the issue remaining unresolved is a restless geography open to imperialist interventions, wasted generations, and economic collapse. The Kurdish tribe is one of the essential elements of the Islamic community. The geography it inhabits is also the center of the community's geography. The unresolved issue will negatively affect the entire region, while a just solution will relieve both the region and the entire Islamic world. The solution should not be delayed any longer."
"WHAT WE NEED IS SINCERITY AND WILL"
Finally, Yapıcıoğlu stated, "If investigation, examination, analysis, and diagnosis are done correctly, treatment is easy; if we cannot do these correctly, the problem becomes gangrenous. Do not doubt that the solution is within reach. What we need for the solution are two things: sincerity and will. If we grasp and apply what the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did and said, there will be no issue. We will wish for our brother what we wish for ourselves, and we will not do to our brother what we do not want to be done to us. The issue is that simple."
