A historic record has come from the astronauts of the Chinese Space Station. Two astronauts conducted a spacewalk lasting 9 hours at the space station. With this duration, the Chinese have surpassed the record held by the United States for 23 years. The U.S. record was 8 hours and 56 minutes.

Two of the astronauts exited into space from the Wenteyn Laboratory Module using safety cables. One astronaut remained at the space station to provide technical support. Expressing their happiness with gratitude, the astronauts said: "Thank you all for your hard work that allowed us the opportunity to conduct a spacewalk. The purpose of manned space flight is a flag race, and we are in it with every step. Let’s keep striving and move forward together into the future."
