Yusuf Dikeç and Şevval İlayda Tarhan won the gold medal in the mixed team category of the 10-meter air pistol event at the European Air Weapons Championship. Our national athletes defeated the Czech duo Viktorie Sindlerova and Pavel Schejbal 16-14 in the final.

THEY QUALIFIED FOR THE FINAL WITH 580 POINTS

Representing Turkey at the event in Osijek, Croatia, Olympic medalists Yusuf Dikeç and Şevval İlayda Tarhan qualified for the gold medal match with their score of 580 points in the ranking competition.

THEY BECAME CHAMPIONS BY DEFEATING THE CZECHS

In the final, the national shooters defeated the Czech pair Viktorie Sindlerova-Pavel Schejbal 16-14 to win the gold medal. The bronze medal in this category went to the Serbian duo Zorana Arunovic-Damir Mikec.

THEY HAD WON OUR FIRST MEDAL IN SHOOTING

Yusuf Dikeç and Şevval İlayda Tarhan, who won a silver medal in the mixed team category of the 10-meter air pistol at the Paris 2024 Olympics, had brought Turkey its first medal in shooting history.
