Chinese social media influencer Wang Hongquanxing has been targeted with his posts showcasing luxury clothing and extremely expensive jewelry. The influencer, whose posts received backlash, has been banned from platforms.

Known as China's Kim Kardashian, Wang was banned from platforms such as Weibo, Douyin, and Xiaohongshu for showcasing the large amount of money he spent on clothing and other items. The Chinese government stated that "cyberspace management" does not allow social media users to create "showy personalities." Wang had 4.3 million followers on Douyin, a TikTok-like platform, and he talked about his seven luxury apartments. The influencer also didn't forget to showcase his jade stones and pink diamonds.
Among other banned influencers are Sister Abalone with over 2 million followers and Mr. Bo with 3 million followers. Mr. Bo showcased his special Rolls-Royce as a 25th birthday gift.
