Speaking at a rally organized by his party in the Çatalca district of Istanbul, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel reminded that their minimum wage proposal is 39,000 TL and stated that if they come to power, they will give every retiree a bonus equivalent to one minimum wage during the holidays.
The 74th of CHP's "Defending the Will of the Nation" rallies was held in the Çatalca district of Istanbul.
PROMISE OF "A MINIMUM WAGE BONUS" FOR RETIREES
Addressing the crowd gathered at the rally, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made a striking promise regarding retirees. Reminding that the minimum wage proposal is 39 thousand TL, Özel stated that if they come to power, they will give every retiree a bonus equivalent to one minimum wage during the holidays.
"HOLIDAY BONUS WILL NOT BE RIDICULOUS UNDER CHP GOVERNMENT"
Özel's statements on the subject were as follows: "Our minimum wage proposal is 39, we won't accept anything less. We are protesting the poverty pensions for retirees, we say there should be a minimum wage. Under CHP government, the holiday bonus will not be ridiculous. Every retiree will receive one minimum wage during the holidays. We promise. We are fed up with lies, it should be a minimum wage of 39. There is money for the forty thieves, there is money for the cronies, there is money for the five-member gang, there is money for the rich that Tayyip Bey loves, but when it comes to us, there is none. We demand a minimum wage of 39 thousand lira. The lowest pension should also be a minimum wage."
